Trickster figures are prevalent within mythology their roles are usually to disrupt familiarity & rigidity. Sometimes the trickster figure appears at a time in life when an individual is called to go through some sort of individuation process. My feeling is that
this figure represents an aspect of myself that needs to breakout of rigidity, the blade the trickster isn’t one of harm but something to reveal while the effigies of this back speak to this idea of carrying ancestral forces with us through life.
